Day 4 on the Medical Medium Protocol – The Soup
Did I mentioned that the spinach-tomato “soup” is not my favorite? Out of all the meals and snacks on this diet, I’d say that is the only one I don’t really enjoy.
There’s something about the taste and texture of liquefied spinach that I can live without. I don’t mind fresh spinach in salads — in fact, I like it in salads.
But liquefied in a soup with barely-ripe, tasteless tomatoes? Not so much.
Tonight, I tried some changes. I put less spinach in the soup and more celery. Also, the orange juice I put in it today was much sweeter, and it tasted a lot better (with oranges from the Farmer’s Market). Home-grown tomatoes haven’t yet come into season, but when they do, that would improve the “soup.”
It was significantly better.
We’re at the very end of the orange season, so these wonderful, sweet, juicy oranges from the Farmer’s Market won’t be available for long. I’ll have to go back to the far less juicy, far less flavorful grocery store variety. Sigh.
I’m feeling strange sensations in my head where I normally get headaches. I hope it means I’m detoxing in those areas. I’m sure I need a lot of detoxing there.
My husband is deep into detoxing as well. He’s feeling exhausted and out of sorts. But he’s holding up and carrying on with the plan.
