Day 3 on the Medical Medium Protocol – We’re Not Hungry!
My nights are now full of excitement… the three, four, sometimes five trips to the bathroom from my bursting bladder keep me hopping! Where is all that water coming from?
I sure hope I’m dropping a lot of water weight. That would give me some consolation for all the sleep disruption.
I’m not quite used to the daily smoothie and snack routine yet. I have to set the alarm to not forget snacks and mealtimes. I had to print out an ingredients list to refer to so I could remember what to put into the smoothie, the salad, and the soup.
At least now I don’t have to worry about remembering everything.
I’m finding that two bananas in the morning smoothie seems enough for me (unless they’re really small). This way, I can get it down.
Surprisingly, I don’t feel hungry and neither does my husband. We thought we would be hungry all day since we’re not eating any proteins, fats or carbohydrates, but the foods on the detox menu are plenty. I sometimes feel a slight drop in blood sugar as it gets close to snack time. The snack fixes it.
The bananas are filling – but I’m not sure its just the bananas. It looks like Anthony William was right when he said the brain needs the right kind of glucose every couple of hours. As long as I snack or eat on time, I don’t feel hungry.
While the smoothie tastes good and the cilantro is not blatantly detectable, the combination of the cilantro with the blueberries and dates creates an odd flavor that sticks with me. The kale cuts down on the cilantro taste a lot. But still, repeating the same smoothie two hours later is a bit too much, so I’m opting to just eat two bananas (or another fruit), a stick of celery, and a date. Its no problem to chew them up and get them down.
When the 28 days are over, I might switch to Zeolite instead of cilantro. Zeolite is also very effective at removing heavy metals and contaminants from the body. And it’s tasteless.
My least favorite meal of the day is the spinach-tomato “soup.” It would be a whole lot better if the tomatoes were homegrown, but the tomatoes in our garden won’t ripen for at least another month, and there won’t be enough of them (its a small garden). So I have to put up with the tasteless, barely-ripe store-bought tomatoes.
Surprisingly, my husband doesn’t mind the soup. He actually likes it — and he’s usually the picky one. And I’m shocked he’s not complaining about eating the same thing every night!
One of the nice things about this detox diet is that you never have to ask, “What should we have for dinner?”
