Day 34: Breaking the Medical Medium Protocol, Day 2
Another trip to Costco for organic romaine send me past the sample booths. One dish caught my eye. It was a chickpea, tomato, coconut curry with kale, made with fresh tomatoes and coconut milk.
Since I’m starting to introduce a greater variety of foods into the cleanse, surely a taste wouldn’t hurt. Nothing in it is really off the diet except the canola oil, but it wouldn’t be much. So I tried it…
OMG! It was delicious!
Absolutely wonderful!
Too bad its made with canola oil. I’m definitely going to have to find a recipe to make this myself (without Canola oil) once I can eat more freely.
For dinner, I had half a yam with my spinach-tomato “soup,” and a few slices of roasted squash with my salad, the same way I made them yesterday. Very nice. Tomorrow, I’ll have a whole yam.
I had no ill effects from the squash yesterday and nothing from the chickpea curry sample, so all seems to be going well.
My neck and the area between the shoulder blades still aches and by evening, the muscle spasm pulls my neck to the side. This is an area where I have lots of old injuries. A lot of them from being rear-ended by a bus in my early twenties. It’s better in the mornings, so it’s working itself out.
