Day 39, Breaking the Medical Medium Protocol, Day 7
It occurred to me when I went to bed, that on the same day I added chickpeas to my diet, I also added something else — parsley juice.
In Anthony William’s book, I read that parsley helps clear out copper and aluminum. My mother cooked most of the family’s meals in an aluminum Dutch oven my entire childhood. I remember coming home from college once and seeing her discarding that pot because the entire inside bottom was worn thin, deeply chipped and pitted — like it had been pistol whipped or gouged out with a knife.
It looked horrible! The state the bottom of the pot was in was actually shocking!
My first thought was, “What happened to that pot?
Then I realized that the aluminum had worn off with heavy use over time.
A thought exploded in my mind, “Where did all that aluminum go?”
I instantly answered my own question, “OMG! Straight down our throats and into our bodies with every dinner.”
I guess she didn’t know that cooking in aluminum wasn’t safe.
My husband’s mother also had a big pot she cooked soups and stews in made of aluminum. I guess that was the popular pot of the era and nobody knew cooking in aluminum wasn’t safe back then.
With that memory on my mind, I had decided to add parsely to my celery juice, now that I’ve completed 28 days of straight celery juice. For the last four days, I was using 1/2 a cup of parsely. But when I went back to the Medical Medium book, I see that Anthony William said to use 1/4 a cup.
Parsley is potent. Could the extra parsely juice be too strong for me? As in causing too much cleansing?
Another thing is that I was using regular parsley, not organic. From now on, I will only use organic parsley… and organic cilantro, as well.
I’m taking a break from parsley in my celery juice today, maybe tomorrow, too. I’ll see if things improve.
Today was a big day in another way — we re-introduced chicken into our diet. I was afraid to do it so soon, but we will be going to a big dinner in a couple of days, so I had to start preparing my digestive system.
Tasting chicken again was fantastic! It was delicious (you can see I’m not a vegetarian…yet). It really hit the spot as far as my need for protein, even at only 3 oz. So far, my digestion is doing great with it. We’ll see if tomorrow brings anything different.
