Day 13 on the Medical Medium Protocol – Mango Salsa Slipup
Oh, no!
I ran out of cucumbers and cilantro!
That means we can’t have mango salsa.
I was really looking forward to it as a break from the spinach-tomato soup (which I seem to be botching up).
We’ll have to have mango slices with romaine leaves instead.
So that’s what we did.
Alone, the mango was delicious — so sweet and juicy. And the romaine leaves were good, too.
But together… well, neither contributed to the other. The mango just didn’t make a dressing for the lettuce, and while the lettuce didn’t clash with the mango, it didn’t pair all that well, either.
They are better eaten separately.
I’m sure the mango salsa would have been better. I do hope I get all the ingredients together soon. It sounds tasty.
Anthony William lists mango slices with romaine leaves as an alternative dinner to the spinach-tomato soup. It’s simply slices or pieces of mango served with romaine leaves on the side.
If you’re making Mango Salsa, I suggest eating it with red leaf lettuce. Otherwise, eat the mango and romaine leaves separately. The mango juices are so runny that mango and romaine would only go together if there was a thick dressing to blend the two textures and flavors. That might be something interesting to try later, but not during this cleanse.
Mango Salsa is an alternative Anthony offers for the Spinach-Tomato soup. Its a nice combination of mangoes and veggies:
- mangoes
- tomatoes
- celery
- cucumbers
- cilantro
- garlic
Mix together and serve over red leaf lettuce.
It does sound good. I wonder if it would go well with avocado? …For later, of course. I’ll have to try it when I get the ingredients together.
